The Relationships tool (added with release 9.0) is designed to help organizations that have a daycare or school. Best practices for billing for child care or tuition requires setting up the child/student as the Customer and then linking a parent or other responsible person as the Bill To. Before Release 9.0, finding a parent or other responsible party was a bit cumbersome. With the addition of the Relationship tool, this part of the job has been made easier.
Organizations that have Financials and Arena will discover that relationships are being pulled from Arena settings, and little or no setup is required. For organizations that do not have Arena, the new utility is designed to associate family members together. Also, responsible people outside of the core family can also be added.
